Story

Help rebuild lives after brain injury

A brain injury can happen without warning—from a road accident, fall or sporting injury to a stroke, tumour, cardiac arrest or serious illness. In an instant, the way someone walks, talks, thinks and feels can change.

For people living with brain injury, Headway Thames Valley provides vital support when they return home from hospital and begin adjusting to life again. Through advice and counselling, support groups, rehabilitation, courses and activities at Brunner Hall, the charity helps people regain skills, rebuild confidence and develop greater independence.

Headway Thames Valley also supports families and carers, who can often feel overwhelmed by changes they do not fully understand. The charity offers reassurance, practical guidance and a community where nobody has to face life after brain injury alone.

Every donation can make a meaningful difference. Just £10 can help fund one person’s attendance at a Headway Thames Valley support group—providing connection, encouragement and the chance to share experiences with others who understand.

By sponsoring this fundraiser, you are helping ensure that local people affected by brain injury can access the support they need to move forward. Your generosity could help someone find their confidence, rebuild their routine, reconnect with others and discover that life after brain injury is still full of possibility.

Please sponsor us today and help Headway Thames Valley continue rebuilding lives after brain injury.

Every contribution, large or small, will help make a lasting difference.
